Where Are We?

As the name implies, Lamorinda covers the cities of Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda. However, we serve Contra Costa County and our reach is throughout the East Bay of San Francisco with members from Clayton, Martinez, and Pinole to Danville, Oakland, Alameda and other East Bay areas.

Who Are We?

Our organization was formed in 1950 by a group of women in Orinda to give voice to the ideals of the Republican Party. The following year it became part of the California and National Republican Women Federation.

Our Objectives Are To:

  • Promote the principles of freedom, equality and justice on which the government of this country is founded.

  • Increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.

  • Promote a wider knowledge of the principles and policies of the Republican Party.

  • Encourage active citizenship.

  • Cooperate with the California Republican State and Contra Costa County Central committees for the election of Republican nominees.

  • Facilitate cooperation among Federated Republican Women’s local clubs.

When Do We Meet?

We have regular monthly luncheon meetings with guest speakers from September through May on the third Thursdays of the month with no formal meetings scheduled during the summer months or December. However, we do have informal gatherings throughout the year as noted on our events schedule. We also participate in various local events. All events are open to members and guests.
